The Arabian Working Cow Horse Association Year End High Point Award Program is open to all members in good standing. Points can be earned at the following competitions: all AHA approved shows, National Reined Cow Horse Association shows (NRCHA) and Stockhorse shows (SHOT) and National Cutting Horse Association shows (NCHA).
Points are accrued based on placings related to number of horses competing in the class: first place in a ten horse class earns 10 pts, second place in a ten horse class earns 9 pts, third place earns 8 pts… This system is consistent with the current AHA point system. The calendar year will begin with the first day following the end of Arabian US Nationals and will end the following year the last day of Arabian US Nationals.

2. *Half-Arabian High Point Working Cow Horse of the Year
3. Amateur High Point Working Cow Horse Adult Rider of the Year (PB & HA inclusive) (This division is for Amateur riders that go down the fence, i.e. working &/or reined cow horse classes)
4. Limited Reined Cow Horse High Point Adult Rider of the Year (PB & HA inclusive)
5. Youth High Point Working Cow Horse Rider of the Year (PB & HA inclusive)
6. Herd Work Amateur Rider High Point (PB & HA inclusive)
7. Box-Drive-Box-Drive Amateur Rider (PB & HA inclusive)
A. Purebred Horse (points for all PB horse/rider combinations count)
B. Half-Arabian Horse (points for all HA horse/rider combinations count)
C. Amateur Rider( does not include Youth riders; exhibitors may show multiple horses: PB &/or HA, all points count)
1. Both the exhibitor and the horse owner must be members in good standing of AWCHA;

2. *A horse must compete and earn points in at least 2 divisions to be eligible for a High Point Award (i.e. working cow horse and herd work, reined cow horse and sorting, cutting)
3. Limited Reined Cow Horse Rider Division: the points earned in the Limited Reined Cow Horse classes WILL NOT cross over to the Amateur Working Cow Horse Division.
4. Amateur and Youth riders may earn points in open divisions consistent with AHA rules.
5. In the event of a conflict of eligibility or compliance, the AWCHA board will vote for resolution.
6. In the event of a tie for High Point or Reserve Champion, any prize money will be split and an additional buckle(s) ordered,
A Champion and Reserve Champion awarded in each category
1. Trophy buckles awarded to each High Point Champion and Reserve Champion
2. $1,000.00 awarded to High Point Purebred Horse & $1,000.00 awarded to High Point Half-Arabian Horse
3. $500.00 awarded to Reserve High Point Purebred Horse & $500.00 awarded to Reserve High Point Half-Arabian Horse
